Review: The Marriage Lie

The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle
Publisher: Mira • Publication Date: December 27, 2016

A few years ago I read Dear Wife by Kimberly Belle and loved it and kept saying I wanted to read more of her books. The Marriage Lie had been sitting on my bookshelf for a few months and I finally decided it was time to crack the book open and I’m sorry I waited so long because I loved it! I will definitely be reading more of Belle’s books and I’m hoping she will become a go-to psychological thriller author for me.

Psychological thrillers are one of my favorite genres to read, but I’m also really hard to please with them because I hate when I can see the twist coming before the halfway point in a book. This book did not disappoint because they were definitely twists I couldn’t predict and was pleasantly surprised when they were revealed.

I loved how quickly the book moved making it really hard to put down. Belle packs a lot of action and information into the story so you are not left guessing what is going to happen for very long. I truly enjoyed the ending, I selfishly wish it was a few more pages to expand more upon all of the reveals. If you are looking for a great psychological thriller that keeps you engaged, I highly recommend picking this one up.

CW: Plane crash, death, child death
