Review: One of Us is Lying

One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus
Publisher: Delacorte Press • Publication Date: May 30, 2017

When a book is described as The Breakfast Club, one of my favorite movies, meets Pretty Little Liars, a TV show I enjoyed, I have to read it. and I really enjoyed One of Us is Lying and will definitely be reading more of McManus books now.

I liked the twists and turns throughout the book and for me the big reveal was with it because it took me a long time to start to suspect it. While the murder mystery is the main part of the book, I really liked how Bronwyn, Addy, Nate and Cooper all discovered things about who they are and who they wanted to be throughout the story. I also liked how these four people who were really just passing acquaintances prior to detention, all came together to figure out what was going on and formed an unbreakable friendship.

CW: Death, suicide, homophobia
