Review: Well Played

Well Played by Jen DeLuca
Publisher: Berkley β€’ Publication Date: September 22, 2020

One thing I’m looking forward to attending in a post-Covid world, a Renaissance Faire. Did I ever have a desire to go to one before reading Jen DeLuca’s books? Nope, but it is high on my list now.

I loved Well Met when I read it a few months ago and was a little hesitant to read Well Played, but I loved it even more! Stacey for me was a very relatable character because I’ve definitely felt stuck in the path my life was going in more than a few times over the years. In the beginning of the book, there was a line about getting older without really being allowed to grow up, that summed up my life while I was at my first job out of college.

Stacey and Daniel are now one of my favorite book couples. While I wish Daniel wouldn’t have let Stacey believe she was communicating with Dex the whole time, they were perfect for each other. I loved catching up with the cast of characters we got to know in Well Met and I can’t wait to read April and Mitch’s story when Well Matched is released in October. My pre-order for the book has already been placed.
