Review: Meet Me In Paradise

Meet Me in Paradise by Libby Hubscher
Publisher: Berkley • Publication Date: March 23, 2021

Did I judge this book based off the cover and synopsis and think I was getting a cutesy rom com book? Yes I did. Was this book so much more than I expected it to be? Yes it was, and I love when a book truly surprises you.

This book deals with grief and also heavy subjects, but it is also a love letter to sisters as Marin and Sadie try to help each other out in ways they feel is best for the other. While there is romance in the book, it isn’t the most important thing and I’m glad it takes a back seat because Marin and Sadie’s bond is truly the heart of the story. Sadie who is a risk taker, forces Marin who lives a safe and protective life out of her comfort zone and it was nice to see Marin’s growth throughout the book and for her to in a way learn how to live her life again.

CW: Death, cancer
