ARC Review: The Trials of Adeline Turner

The Trials of Adeline Turner by Angela Terry

San Francisco is one of my favorite places, so when a book takes place there, I have to read it. Add in that this book is written by Angela Terry, who wrote Charming Falls Apart which I loved, and I was so excited when I got the NetGalley approval for The Trials of Adeline Turner and I really enjoyed this book! Terry is now an auto-read author for me.

Adeline, a lawyer working with a firm in Chicago before a project she is working on takes her to San Francisco was an extremely likable character. As someone who is in their 30s like Adeline and searching for love, those scenes were incredibly relatable. I also loved that Terry built a character that wanted to be successful in her career, but also have a successful relationship as well, because we don’t have to choose one over the other, we can have it all. The ending worked out in the direction I was hoping it was going to go in, I just wish there were a few more pages devoted to it since I was rooting for that ending.

Thank you to Girl Friday Books for an advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
