Review: The Acts of Life

The Acts of Life by Kristin Mulligan

If this book is not on your TBR, do yourself a favor and go add it now, because The Acts of Life was amazing! And go in as blind as you can because that’ll really leave your jaw hanging open when this book does a 360 flip on you.

Reading act one of the book, it’s a steamy romance between Sam and Harper who meet by chance at a bar. Sam is a twin, and his sister Stella likes to have a say in all aspects of his life, but you just figure its par for the course since all siblings have some rivalry between them. When act one ends this book completely changes course and I loved the suspense direction that it went into.

I’ve seen reviews that compare this book to Verity, and I would say in the vein of the book messing with your head, they are similar in that aspect. But if Verity was a little too much for you, don’t discount The Acts of Life because I enjoyed this book a lot more. I loved that I had no clue where the book was heading once you hit intermission and I sped through the book so quick because I could not put it down and needed to know how it was going to end!

Kristin did a phenomenal job with her debut book and I cannot wait to read more from her!
