ARC Review: The Singles Table

The Singles Table by Sara Desai

Happy publication day to The Singles Table! Sara Desai did such a great job with the enemies to lovers trope in The Marriage Game and I was glad she returned to it with this book. Out of all of the books in the series so far in the series, I found this to be the funniest and can easily see this being turned into a movie.

Zara is an over the top character, but in the best way. She is someone you would want to have as a friend because you know you would always be having fun, but she would also be there to support you through everything as well. Jay has a lot of baggage to work through and while I like that there was a lot of discussion about his mental health, I would have liked to have seen more glimpses into him working through this.

I wanted more angst in the enemies part of the enemies to lovers trope between Zara and Jay. It was great in the first few chapters, but then Jay’s insta love for Zara threw me off. While this wasn’t my favorite in the series, it was a great addition. If Desai continues with more books that follow the characters in this world, I’d love to see one involving Parvati as a starring character.

Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for an advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
